Sustaining growth regionally topic of talk
A regional leader in the movement toward sustainable growth will speak on Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Grass Valley.
Scott G. McNall teaches and writes about sustainable business practices and the intersection of development, culture, the environment, the economy, and political life. He is executive director of the Institute for Sustainable Development at the University of California, Chico, created to integrate campus environmental efforts and enlarge research related to the bioregion.His focus for many years has been the study of organizations and what allows for change, success, and failure; and he recently authored “Sociology of the Environment.”
McNall will speak starting at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, during the Contemporary Issues study session at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St., near downtown Grass Valley.
