Little did Allison Fretwell realize when she started cleaning because she loved it at age 14, that her ultimate brand of housecleaning would raise the bar to developing and using only solutions made from organic and bio-degradable recipes she creates, tests and uses in her own home.

In 2010, personal challenges with her son, who is allergic to the citrus in many home-cleaning products, forced Allison to start investigating new cleaning options. “My son was diagnosed with food allergies in 2010 and is allergic to lemon and citric acid. After I reviewed our household items including soaps, shampoo and cleaning products, I noticed that many cleaning products didn’t have ingredients listed on their labels. The manufacturer isn’t required to list all ingredients on their labels, just ones that are potentially harmful. This is when I made the transition for the cleaning company to eco-friendly products. Companies such as Mrs. Meyers, Ecover, Biokleen and Seventh Generation do provide a listing of all ingredients.

As many of our clients have chemical sensitivities and allergies, using these products makes it easier for me to know what to use in the clients home or office. However, because these labels are gentle cleaning products, I ran into issues when doing heavy degreasing, Move Out cleanings and commercial properties. This is when I began making cleaning products at home.

My personal cleaning supplies are not only organic, but they are actually digestible too, so there are no potential hazards to children, infants or pets, she said. “I love to cook food, so I’m making ingestible products cleaning products from food basically. Essential oils and herbs make potent solutions that don’t hurt you or the environment. I always test and approve any new product I make on my own home before taking it to a client’s home.”

Aside from the healthy alternative cleaning service Allison provides, she also helps folks with organizational problems for residential, industrial and commercial clients. She will do move-outs, which tend to need the stronger cleaning mixes she has in her arsenal.

You get a lot of de-greasing that needs to be done due to basic neglect. We will also clear residual clutter and do hauling,” she says. “I just really like the result from a good cleaning session, I always have. I’m glad to offer effective cleaning that won’t hurt the home environment. I like making people happy and people like a clean, healthy home. “
