United Way 6th Annual BBQ

United Way of Nevada County’s 6th Annual BBQ Battle takes place on August 23rd at 5:00 PM

Individuals from around the community will be firing up their grills on Thursday, August 23rd for the 6th Annual United Way BBQ Battle which takes place at the Gold Miners Inn/Holiday Inn Express in Grass Valley.  It’s not too late to enter your team to compete!

Teams such as ”Bradas of the Rack”,  “The Rib Doctors”  and “Pit Pros BBQ“ are all preparing to compete  for prizes in the 6th Annual United Way BBQ Battle. There will be meat tastings of all types from baby back ribs to BBQ chicken.  This is a great fun family event. There will be two judging categories; one decided by the populace and the other decided by a small group of "critic's choice" judges. Entry in to the event is free. The cost for 3 tastes and a chance to cast a vote is $5. 

Enjoy live music from the group Sols while cooling off under our “mister” tent. There will be some great raffle prizes; including a Hawaiian vacation getaway and a Complete Wine Bar. Tickets for the raffle are available now and during the event; you need not be present to win.

All proceeds from this event go to United Way of Nevada County’s Community Investment Fund to be allocated to United Way’s three community Impact areas of Education, Income and Health.
