Tango class looking for new members

TableTop Tango, which meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at The Haven Underground at 228 Broad St., will be offering a class for beginners in September. The class is taught by Genevieve Crouzet, who also is one of the owners of the Nevada City Classic Café in Nevada City.

TableTop Tango hosts occasional workshops with guest instructors and special live music dance events. Szabo’s Wine Tasting Room and the Classic Café will be hosting tango dancing from 6 to 9 p.m. during Summer Nights, which are July 11, 18 and 25.

Crouzet said many members of the group began tango dancing in the past six to nine months. For more information, email
