Get out the kilt for Robert Burns celebration

 


The Gold Country Celtic Society hosts its 21st annual Robert Burns Celebration Dinner and Ceilidh at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Dinner at 5:30 p.m. features meat, fish, or vegetarian entrees. Included are servings of haggis and wee drams of Scotch. The Brigadoon Pub will serve single-malt scotch, local wine and other libations.

The dinner program will include the playing of the pipes, the Address to the Haggis, the Toast to the Lassies and Lads and the Immortal Memory Address to Burns.

Following dinner will be a traditional Scottish Ceilidh featuring music and singing of The Trinity Ensemble and The Ingersoll Family Pipes and Drums. The wearing of formal or semi-formal Scottish attire will be appreciated.
