Nevada City Planning Commission cuts back on meetings
The Nevada City Planning Commission likely will be meeting just once a month for a while, according to City Planner Cindy Siegfried.
Siegfried said the city has been receiving fewer applications for conditional-use permits and signs, which led to the decision. She did say, however, the commission will still schedule two meetings in the event there is an application that needs more immediate attention.
“That way if we need it, we can still meet twice a month,” Siegfried said.
The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of the month. In the future, the commission will plan to meet only on the third Thursday, Siegfried said.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 17 at City Hall Chambers at 317 Broad Street.
