Herald Printing closure has a local impact

The Sacramento Bee reported Thursday that the longtime printing company will close its doors on Friday. We were notified on Monday that the company would not print our paper this week. We are now working to find a new printer.

The closure of Herald Printing in Sacramento means that we will be unable to publish a paper this week.

The Sacramento Bee reported Thursday that the longtime printing company will close its doors on Friday. We were notified on Monday that the company would not print our paper this week.

Since then we’ve been looking for another printer and notifying advertisers of the situation.

This comes at an unfortunate time for the Nevada City Advocate. We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to our new publication, so we plan to move forward and resolve this unexpected development as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience in the matter. If you have any questions, please call 470-9088.

Here’s the link to the Sacramento Bee’s story if you would like to read it.
