BriarPatch, In The Kitchen team up to offer cooking classes

Have you ever wandered the aisles at BriarPatch Co-op and wondered how you could incorporate all those different ingredients into amazing dishes? Now, thanks to Wendy Van Wagner and other cooks from In The Kitchen, you can. BriarPatch is launching a new partnership with the cooking school in the form of classes taught at In The Kitchen’s Nevada City location and utilizing the high-quality ingredients that can be found at the Co-op. An added incentive is that BriarPatch owner-members receive a 30 percent discount off of class fees. The winter schedule runs from January through March of 2010 and will include classes like “Fabulous French Cooking,” “Vegetarian Indian Cuisine,” and “Winter Soups and Stews.” There are even classes on how to learn common and more advanced knife skills – something that is a must know for any cook. Be it soufflés, gumbo and cornbread or Valentine’s Day cookies, there’s a class to interest every queen or king of the kitchen.
