Nevada City Advocate - A free news & entertainment Newspaper Serving Nevada City & Greater Nevada County: S.O.A.P hopes to clean up in 7-Hills District of Nevada City S.O.A.P hopes to clean up in 7-Hills District of Nevada City ================================================================================ Stacy Butler on Mar 05 03:07pm A new opportunity to amp up your level of “green” living has been introduced to our community. Lori Largent has opened S.O.A.P. (Save our Ailing Planet) One-Stop Refill Shop in the 7-Hill District at 104 Argall Way in Nevada City. Lori offers bulk sale shampoo, laundry and dish, human and pet bio-clean soaps. She also sells authentic Himalayan Salt lamps, locally grown bamboo plants, bath salts from around the globe, and glass and plastic containers if you need them, but the whole idea is for customers to bring their own containers. Once her inventory of containers is gone, there will be no more available. The price benefit for going to the One-Stop Refill Shop is very friendly as well. For example, a 12-ounce refill of a popular brand name eco-shampoo will only cost you around $5.40 or $6. If you wanted to go unscented, you can fill a 12-ounce container for as little as $3.12. Some of the eco-brands that are available are Ecos, Ecover, BioKleen, Soap Nuts, Nature’s Gate, Dishmate, Alba, Kiss My Face and Shikai. S.O.A.P is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday and from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, call 530-265-2210.
