Café Community to debut on June 7 on NCTV
Café Community will continue the mission of “Mission: Possible” by featuring people who make a difference in the community as well as offering a variety of resources to survive and thrive together.
NCTV’s weekly community newsmagazine “Mission: Possible” will become Café Community on Monday, June 7.
According to show producer and host Cheryl Noble, the live half-hour show will feature an all-new set while retaining the lively format of three guests a week.
“We live in an immensely creative community, and I wanted the set to reflect the natural beauty and wonderful resources we have here,” Noble said. “The new set will showcase original artwork done on recycled kitchen panels found at Habitat for Humanity’s Re-store. Most surprising is that the artist is a student at Forest Charter School. Her work is extraordinary.”
Café Community will continue the mission of “Mission: Possible” by featuring people who make a difference in the community as well as offering a variety of resources to survive and thrive together.
“Mission: Possible” was launched in March 2009 by Gil and Lyn Dominguez of TouchDown Productions. Noble was a guest on the first show with the launch of the community book swap.
Café Community airs live every Monday at 6 p.m. on NCTV, Comcast 11, SuddenLink 16 and at www.nevadacountytv.org. The show is rebroadcasted at 2 p.m. Friday, and then archived on the web site for Video on Demand.
A few of June’s guests include Think Local First, Nevada City Farmers Market, St. Patrick’s Church offering free community dinners, Robert Trent of Sierra Commons, Animal Place Sanctuary, and Sierra Memorial’s Comfort Cuisine that provides home cooked food for caregivers.
