Greenberg new board president for Center for the Arts in Grass Valley

Hindi Greenberg, who moved to the area in 2001 from San Francisco, has been on the Center’s board of directors for the past four years. She is the president of her consulting and speaking business, Lawyers in Transition, and is a former trial lawyer.

Hindi Greenberg of Nevada City has been elected as the new president of the board of directors for the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

 

She replaces David Iorns, a Nevada City resident and business owner.

 

Greenberg, who moved to the area in 2001 from San Francisco, has been on the Center’s board of directors for the past four years. She is the president of her consulting and speaking business, Lawyers in Transition, and is a former trial lawyer.

 

As a board member, Greenberg has been involved with the Executive, Marketing, Risk Assessment and Volunteer committees as well with Grandes Dames, a fund-raising group.

 

Greenberg has been a board of director for Music in the Mountains for the past three years as well as the head usher for MIM’s concerts. She also has done volunteer work with Nevada County Land Trust and the South Yuba River Citizen’s League.

 

She replaces Iorns who has been involved with the Center for the Arts since its inception in 1999. He was the board president one other time before assuming the post for a second time in 2009.

 

Iorns, who has lived in Nevada County for 22 years, is the owner of Nevada City Crystal and Glass in downtown Nevada City.  He decided to step down as the arts organization president in order to devote more time to his business and family, which includes his wife, Maryann, and four children.
