Music in the Mountains Home Tour ranges from Tahoe to Nevada City

The tour goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a Saturday and Sunday and ends with a showing of two homes in The Cedars. At each stop, musicians from the Music in the Mountain Education Program will perform. In addition, visitors can enjoy cookies made by volunteers and supporters and bid on work done by local artists.

Seven unique homes in the area will be open to the public on Oct. 3-4 as a benefit event for Music in the Mountains.

  The tour includes stops at a restored Nevada City home built in the 1850s, a Tahoe Craftsman-style home in the woods and a Soho loft created from a garage.

  The tour goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and ends with a showing of two homes in The Cedars.

  At each stop, musicians from the Music in the Mountain Education Program will perform. In addition, visitors can enjoy cookies made by volunteers and supporters and bid on work done by local artists.

  Allegro Alliance, the volunteer arm of Music in the Mountains, has organized the tour and will give ticket holders a map with directions to each home.

  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the days of the tours. Discounts on tickets are available for groups of 10 or more if purchased at the Music in the Mountains office prior to the event.
