A show dedicated to country singers Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and others will be held on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

The “Honky-Tonk Angels, the First Ladies of Country” will feature the talents of Lorraine Gervais, Brielle Morgan, Litza Henry and special guest Alela Diane of Nevada City.

Sierra Sirens, which is owned by Gervais and Morgan, is producing the show with the Center.

The collection of singers brings an impressive resume to the two weekend performances.

Diane recently completed a tour that took her to Europe. The folk singer also has released two new albums, “The Pirate’s Gospel” and “To Be Still.”

Gervais is a well-known local entertainer who has performed with a variety jazz bands on the West Coast. The Nevada City singer also has her own band, Lorraine Gervais and the Burning Sensations.

Morgan is new to the Foothill music scene. She has performed with the Twin Cities Concert Association, the Folsom Lake Symphony and the operatic Bel Canto Quartet.

Henry sang backup vocals for “The Godfather of Punk” Jonathan Richman’s “Surrender” album.

The singers will be joined by guitarist and mandolin player Tom Menig, pedal steel guitar player Larry Tracy, guitarist Steve Wall, bass player Charlie Faber and drummer Mark McCartney.
