Kleinhans becomes third candidate for Nevada County assessor
According to the press release, "Rolf Kleinhans has the education and “real world” private sector management experience to understand the impacts of the decline in market values to both personal and business assets."
Rolf Kleinhans, a real estate broker and appraiser, joined the field today of candidates for the Nevada County Assessor’s Office.
Former Nevada County Supervisor Sue Horne and Jim Blashford, a Lake of the Pines resident and an appraiser for the Placer County Assessor’s Office are also running for the office.
The previous assessor, Dale Flippin, has retired. The election is on June 8.
What follows is the press release announcing Kleinhans’ candidacy.
Rolf Kleinhans has announced his candidacy for the Nevada County Office of Assessor.
He has executive administrative and fiscal development experience. His education includes a Masters of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance at UCLA, and a B.A. in Geography, Conservation and Ecosystems Analysis.
Rolf is a licensed real estate broker and a licensed appraiser.
In a previous career, Rolf supervised staff of over 200 professionals with direct administrative responsibility for staffing levels, recruitment, evaluations and promotions. He has managed multimillion dollar budgets, and construction developments in excess of 5 million feet.
Rolf serves as Chairperson of the Nevada County Sewage Disposal Technical Advisory Group, and was Past Chairman of the Nevada County User Fee Committee. He is the Director of Finance at the Association of Realtors, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Economic Resource Council.
Rolf Kleinhans has the education and “real world” private sector management experience to understand the impacts of the decline in market values to both personal and business assets. He has the knowledge in finance, property valuation and administrative ability to manage the Office of Assessor.
