Baja Princess-  Runs January 8 – February 6

This musical comedy written by John Driscoll follows the antics of an amateur acting troupe from Galt, Ca., who are miraculously hired at the last minute to replace Gloria Estefan, who cancels her appearance aboard a “discount love boat.” Production features Sue LeGate, Nancy Keith, Andrew Kerr and Darin Driscoll. The choreography is by George Jayne and costumes are by Jan Kopp.

‘A Few Good Men’ auditions

Auditions for Aaron Sorkin's “A Few Good Men” begin at 6 p.m. on Jan. 11 at the Nevada Theatre in downtown Nevada City. Multiple roles for men 16 years and older are available as well as one female role. Sue LeGate will direct the play that is scheduled to run from April 23 to May 23. The 8th Annual SYRCL Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival’s Opening Reception goes from 4-7 p.m. at Mowen Solinsky Gallery, 225 Broad Street and at the A.P.P.L.E. Film Festival Dance Party

The 19th Annual Robert Burns Celebration Dinner and Concert is hosted by the Gold Country Celtic Society and celebrate the memory of Scotland’s famed 18th century poet and songwriter and held at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City.
