Sky Dog Entertainment presents its 1st Annual Gold Rush Music Festival & Chili Cook-off from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Miners Foundry in downtown Nevada City. Music featured includes jazz, R&B, folk, rock, country, rock and mariachi. Chili cook-off proceeds benefit CALSTAR and judges are members of the local media. 4th Annual Turkey Trot.

The 5K walk, 5K run and 10K fund-raising races start at 8:30 a.m. at Nevada Union High School’s Hooper Stadium on Ridge Road. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Entry fees are $25 for 15 and older and $12 for 14 and younger if you register before Nov. 17.
