BriarPatch hosting art auction to benefit food bank

A wide variety of art is on display at the auction, which is being held by the Grass Valley Quaker Meeting.

Art on display includes acrylics, oils, water colors, photographs and fiber arts. There is no minimum bid for most of the pieces. The auction started on Oct. 3 and continues until Nov. 6.

The Grass Valley Quaker Meeting is now holding an art auction for the Nevada County Food Bank in the BriarPatch's dining area and gallery.

  Art on display includes acrylics, oils, water colors, photographs and fiber arts. There is no minimum bid for most of the pieces. The auction started on Oct. 3 and continues until Nov. 6.

  The BriarPatch Co-op is located at 290 Sierra College Drive in Grass Valley.

   The Nevada County Food Bank provides food on a monthly basis to those in need and works with schools to provide snacks and lunches in the summer to children who would usually get a free lunch.  The Food Bank also works with Divine Spark, Hospitality House, and the Sierra Aids Foundation to provide supplementary food items.
