Movement Alliance to hold show on Thursday, Aug. 6

The Movement Alliance will have an ‘Open Showing’ from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, at the dance school in the Nevada City Oddfellows Hall at 212 Spring St.

   The dance theatre company is a non-profit organization that was started in 2002. The school was founded in 2008. On Aug. 6, students will perform and instructors will meet with the audience after the performance. The cost is $3.

 Artistic Director Lovie Bucknell says the school teaches students as young as three years old and offers classes in modern dance, ballet, fusion, hip hop, Afro-Brazilian and jazz.
