The Nevada City Farmers Market is in full swing now, with all 11 farms in full production. We saw our first tomatoes recently and this week I'll bet we'll have Nevada County Grown melons, fresh and sweet off the vine, and maybe even sweet corn.
If you made it to the market last week you might have noticed a new booth at the top of the street. Creative Coops offer custom and pre-fab chicken tractors and chicken coops for your home grown egg fetish. Chickens are a great way to watch food scraps disappear and then collect nutritious eggs in return.
This week we welcome Yvon Doctor and David McKay as featured artists, as well as the musical talent of Che Greenwood, Paul Emery and Kelly Flemming.

The market goes from 8 a.m. to noon on Union Street in downtown Nevada City.
